At the site of the current temple on Rue Hoche, a pretty circular colonnade, built under the reign of Louis XV to serve as a resting place during the royal processions of Corpus Christi, was kept until 1880.
This Reposoir was assigned to the Reformed cult in the 19th century. The threatening ruin of the building was decided to replace it with a new building that was built from 1880 to 1882 in a very sober Romanesque Revival style, according to the plans of the city architect Albert Petit.
Since 1905 this building, property of the city of Versailles, is assigned to the Association cultuelle called today Protestant United Church of Versailles. It is, with the Centre-Huit, one of its two places of worship.
