Since 1815, the Ecole des Mines has been located in the Vendôme hotel, which expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries. You will be able to discover the reading room and its glass roof, the library offices decorated with period woodwork; the 5,000 minerals, rocks, precious stones, meteorites of the collections of the mineralogy museum exhibited in a gallery of 80 meters long; the facade, terrace and garden of the Hotel de Vendôme.

The Hotel de Vendôme was built in 1707 by the architect Le Blond for the Chartreux, on the edge of Rue d'Enfer. It houses the engineering school Mines Paris - PSL, a mineralogy museum, the first in the world as a systematic collection, a first-class heritage library.
