Guided tour ("Provins Tourisme") of the cloister, the chapter hall, the south chapel, the chapel of the Benedictines and the lantern-tower (11th - 18th centuries) completely restored. The visit will be completed by a presentation of the glass windows of the artist Udo Zembok.

It is in the middle of a chestnut forest, next to a wooden chapel dedicated to Saint Médard, that the legend places the discovery, in 996, of the body of Ayoul, monk of the abbey of Fleury. A number of archaeological discoveries make it possible to emit the hypothesis of a Merovingian occupation long before, in the eighth and ninth centuries, on the rocky spur of the present-high city as in the lower city. The discovery of the relics of Saint-Ayoul led to the creation of a priory by the monks of the Benedictine abbey of Montier-la-Celle in 1048\. At that time, they collected half of the proceeds of the so-called Saint-Ayoul fair, and an important pilgrimage developed around the cult of the saint’s relics. At the end of the first phase of construction, at the end of the 11th century, the church reached the impressive length of 60 m.The transept and the lantern tower are the vestiges still present of this first phase.
