Meeting with Philippe Fabre-Falret, a direct descendant of Doctor Jean-Pierre Falret and president of the Falret Work, an association that has been helping people with mental difficulties since 1841.
Vanves chose mental health as the theme of the "great cause of Vanvéeenne 2022", a year that also marks the bicentennial of the opening of the Maison de Santé de Vanves in September 1822. Founded at the present site of Pic Park by two alienist doctors with innovative methods at the time, Félix Voisin and Jean-Pierre Falret, this establishment had a European reputation in the 19th century. Closed in 1932, it was then acquired by the City of Vanves to be redeveloped into a municipal park open to the public.
