Work of street artist C215, this tour pays tribute to the children deported from France arrested, for the first time, on July 16 and 17, 1942. These are 15 stenciled portraits that embellish 7 new mailboxes and join the radiant face of Simone Veil already drawn. From the streets of Ile Saint-Louis to those of the Marais, this route evokes the history of the Shoah through the life and memory of these children of the neighborhood highlighted by the research of Serge Klarsfeld.
The tour is completed by a visit to the temporary exhibition dedicated to the artist’s work at the Shoah Memorial.
Hosted by Sophie Gagnard, historian and coordinator of memory routes in the pedagogical service.
