Exceptional opening of the Mont-Valérien fortress
Come and discover the fortress of Mont-Valérien: its memorial, High place of history and memories of the Second World War and the 8th Military Signals Regiment opened exceptionally to the public. Many immersive animations within the world of armies for adults and children are proposed for a dive into the history and heritage of the Transmissions, which celebrate this year their 80 years. But also, a discovery of a High place of national and European memory, during the stroll, the visit and the workshops proposed by the Mont-Valérien memorial.
A still active military base, the 8th Signals Regiment will also open its doors to reveal its missions, its operations and its dovecote, the last in Europe still in operation. Visitors will be able to discover the history of Mont-Valérien, the main place of execution by the German army during the Second World War, through guided and thematic tours and exhibitions.
