The National Furniture shows its treasures
Supporting crafts and creation since the 17th century, the Mobilier national’s mission is to ensure the restoration of its unique collections and to transmit exceptional know-how. An important heritage site, the institution is also a major player in contemporary design.
On the occasion of the 2022 European Heritage Days, the Mobilier national is opening its factories, workshops and stores to unveil some of its treasures.
The public will be able to discover the latest creations of the Atelier de Recherche et de Création with the future chair of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. The occasion to admire also the most beautiful restorations in progress like the monumental carpet of Our Lady saved from the fire.
Furniture promotes the transmission of know-how through its School of Textile Arts and the Campus métiers d'art et design-Manufactures des Gobelins that all generations will be able to visit.
