The Briard de Jouarre museum follows a temporary exhibition in 1959 entitled: 500 years of Briard life in the canton of Ferté-sous-Jouarre . The contributions of the local inhabitants were such that it was not possible to exhibit everything, so the idea of opening a space dedicated to the arts and traditions of the Brie proved obvious.
