Studio Le Regard du Cygne

In the midst of the explosion of contemporary dance, in the early 80’s, Paris lacks places; from this era was born the studio Regard du Cygne built by two couples (the Guibert and the couple formed by Amy Swanson and Alain Salmon). What defines the studio: a team of artists and professionals, who work to create a welcoming place where performances, work sessions and public rehearsals meet. An atypical place: former post office of the end of the seventeenth century, then workshop become house of artists, the studio knew how to keep its authenticity, its walls in exposed stone, its Parisian pavements, its beams in wood of another time. Programming: The studio finally opened to the public in September 1984 and the first contemporary dance programming took place in April 1985\.
