Exhibition tribute to Paul Amand Decauville (1846-1922)
Paul Amand Decauville is an inventor, industrialist and French politician, born on June 7, 1846 in Évry-Petit-Bourg, today Évry (Essonne)1 and died on June 29, 1922 in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine)2. He is the founder of the company Decauville. He was also mayor of Évry-Petit Bourg and senator of Seine-et-Oise. As part of the centenary of the death of Paul Amand Decauville, the Town of Evry-Courcouronnes wishes to commemorate the memory of one of its illustrious builders. During this week, we will present an exhibition to discover the character.
On Friday, September 17, at 18:00, an official presentation time of the exhibition will be offered as well as a film screening followed by a time of exchanges with Jacques Longuet.
