François Pernette

• The Orthodox Seminary of Epinay-sous-Sénart* houses the works of François Pernette, a local resident and sculptor on hundred-year-old boxwood. His creations recount the emotions of life, testimonies of beautiful encounters and travels. He dreamed of exposing his imaginary characters in this place of serenity, the current period demanding more than ever peace, the rapprochement of peoples, respect for religions and sharing. • The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday 16 September at 7 p.m. François Pernette will present his sculptures, Sylvie Petitfils will tell the history of the house and Father Pierre Smirnov, deputy rector, will talk about the seminar. • During these 2 days, the formators and seminarians will offer visits to the exhibition sites. • The Heritage Days will conclude with a concert by the Magnum Mysterium ensemble on Sunday 18 September at 6 pm in the seminary’s inner chapel.
