A remarkable site with an area of 410 ha to discover a few kilometers from the capital! Enjoy a guided tour of the park with a landscaper and an architect from the CAUE du Val-de-Marne.

A vast 410-hectare estate, Grosbois is the former country residence of Marshal Berthier, Prince of Wagram - Napoleon Bonaparte’s Chief of Staff. Today, it is an internationally renowned training centre for trotting horses. As part of the European Heritage Days, this site will be exceptionally open to the public, and Julie-Amadea Pluriel, landscaper at the CAUE du Val-de-Marne, will offer you a visit during which you will discover the history of the domain, the surroundings of the castle and its exceptional landscape.
Other events are proposed by the National Centre of Trot throughout the day.

Considered a trot paradise, the Domaine de Grosbois is located just 15 kilometres from the Paris-Vincennes racecourse. This 412-hectare site has exceptional facilities dedicated to the daily training of trotting horses and can accommodate up to 1,500 horses during the winter meeting. In addition to its equestrian activity, the Domaine de Grosbois houses within it a castle classified as a Historical Monument as well as a museum dedicated to the history of the discipline of trot racing. The castle of Grosbois nestled in the heart of this green setting is a beautiful country residence of the seventeenth century with its facades of bricks and stones and its high roofs French. Inside, the castle offers a succession of lounges whose decor bears the mark of all the great French styles. It includes a remarkable collection of furniture from the Empire period that the descendants of Marshal Berthier were able to preserve.
