Bernard Denis, honorary professor of the Ecole Vétérinaire de Nantes and honorary president of the Ethnozootechnie Society, will present the scientific interest of the work of Rosa Bonheur. In view of the history and evolution of the breeds of domestic animals, he will compare the artist’s paintings with current photographs of the main species of domestic animals, and will evoke elements of history little known to the general public.
