Pierre Queval is organist and organist of the organ of the church of Saint-Ignace in Paris and the Cathedral of Nantes. His recitals lead him to perform everywhere in France, at the most prestigious festivals, as well as abroad, in Germany, England, Italy, Finland, Poland and the United States. On the program: Eugene Gigout’s Scherzo (1844-1925), César Franck’s Second Choral (1822-1890) and Marcel Dupré’s Prelude and Fugue in G minor (1886-1971), about 45 minutes of music accompanied by the performer’s comments. Appearing since antiquity, the organ is an instrument of a unique scale and complexity, evolving with technical innovations (mechanization, digitization...), emblematic of the living and sustainable artistic heritage.

Built by the Society of Jesus and dedicated to Sant-Ignace de Loyola, founder of the order, this Gothic Revival church (1855-1858) has a single nave lined with small chapels. It has lost some of its original furniture and decor with the exception of paintings by Lamothe, Coubertin, Vibert, Régis and Cazes. Recent redevelopment of the choir and narthex.
