The exhibition will offer the visitor a rich journey in the large foyer of the Collège de France allowing to discover, not only the material reality of hieroglyphics from a few rare pieces, but also the mystery that their deciphering posed to scientists for centuries, before seeking to illuminate the genius personality of Champollion, the discovery of the secret of hieroglyphs and the birth of Egyptology.
The exhibition is organized by the Collège de France with the assistance of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Bartholdi Museum in Colmar, the Institut de France and several private collections.
It benefits from the exceptional patronage of the BRED.
