Children’s workshop around the exhibition "Parvis de Notre-Dame"
On the occasion of the exhibition "Parvis de Notre-Dame", the Pavillon de l'Arsenal offers a game course to discover the history of the Ile de la Cité. From Lutetia, the ancient cradle of the capital, to today, through the palaces and churches of the time of kings or the administrative city thought by the prefect Haussmann, The history of the island is told with a video projection and a collection of self-adhesive cards to discover the incredible history of this district and its iconic monuments.
The workshop then takes place on a giant map of the island laid out on the ground, a veritable playground more than 15m long in the heart of the exhibition. In a journey that combines both physical challenges to be met and puzzles to be solved, the children’s primary mission is to locate and connect together on the map the twelve monuments of the island. Each challenge is the occasion to collect cards stickers «Monuments» to constitute at the end of the part a complete album presenting the emblematic monuments of the Ile de la Cité.
