Born in 1927, of the legacy of Alfred's collection ternisien, the museum gathers(collects) about 100 000 figurines of XVIIIME, XIXle and XXME today centuries. They offer a large panorama of the history of France and of Europe, of antiquity in the Second World War. Important dioramata illustrate particularly napoleonic epic poem. The huge battle of Waterloo, created by CHARLES LAURENT from 1905 till 1923, gathers(collects) so about 12000 rooms(parts,plays). The camp of bétheny, 4000 rooms(parts,plays) works of A.SILHIOL, calls back(reminds) visit in Compiègne of the czar Nicolas II in September, 1901\. Exceptional figurines of XVIIIME century, cut in the wood and painted by Jean-Baptiste Clémence, many figurines toys of XIXME centuries, train(form) so many(much) evocative all childish enjoyments of formerly. Weapons and rare historic memories(souvenirs) supplement this unique(only) collection in France.
