Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September 2022, the Memorial Ascq 1944 opens its doors for free for a free visit of the museum.
The Ascq Memorial 1944 commemorates the massacre of 86 civilians by soldiers of the 12th SS Hitlerjugend Division on the night of April 1-2, 1944.
Located on the main site of the executions, the Ascq Memorial 1944 evokes the event and places it in the history of the Occupation of Northern France.
The Memorial is also a place of reflection on the fate of civilians during the war. He wants to bring a message for peace, tolerance and brotherhood among men.
