Often of high quality and made by renowned bodybuilders, children’s cars imitate, in reduction, most models of cars used for the ride or led by their owners. If some of these vehicles are handheld, so pulled by a servant to walk the children in the parks, others are harnessed to ponies, sheep or goats to teach the children to lead, the art of leading being part of the education of the royal children, imperial, princely or high society. Three cars belonging to the Imperial Prince are presented, among others, including the horse-drawn carriage opposite, which Ehrler recently restored in 1857.
Until September 19 in the Bal Gallery
