"The Musée des Bois Jolis" is set in a superb setting with a magical atmosphere: an old water mill whose existence is attested as early as 1466 and which still produces flour. The only mill in Nord Pas-de-Calais to have kept its two auger wheels, the Bois Jolis Museum in Felleries invites you to discover it. Dedicated to woodwork, this museum makes you understand how the village once lived from woodturning. Once the mill is up and running, you admire our craftsman at work: from a simple piece of wood, he creates before your eyes a mushroom, a spinning top…" The exhibition rooms contain a large number of “pretty woods”: household items or objects related to rural and industrial life, traditional games.
At the end of the tour and after the mill starts, witness the demonstration of the know-how of the wood turner.
