Guided tours in the historic heart of Crépy-en-Valois
Crépy-en-Valois has the rare privilege of having bequeathed his name to a royal dynasty. From 1328 to 1589, for nearly 250 years, from Philippe VI de Valois to Henri III, 13 kings of France bore the name of Valois.
The medieval city hides many secrets, discover the treasures at the detours of the alleys… And in the footsteps of Gérard de Nerval, admire the gabled hotels, turret houses and sculpted facades that make the charm of this former capital of Valois.
The remains of the former castle of the Dukes of Crépy-Nanteuil stand proudly on the ramparts of the city. It is there to recall, from the arrival of the walker, that here, for more than a thousand years, beat the heart of France.
Accompanied by Nicolas, visitors will be guided through history and into the city with, at the bend of an alley, a courtyard, a garden, a cellar, opened especially for them by the owners!
