Mary and John are two flamingos of Groot Synten, who pluck from the earth the wheat necessary for men. Fighting against the fate that takes the form of the flood in Jean and the fever epidemic in Marie, the two heroes resist as the flamingos have always done. The resistance of the flamingos to the elements and to the fate often borders the work of the beast. At least that’s how the Romans defined them.
Marie Meulen and Jan Den Hoevenier are giants of the twentieth century who seek in the past models that will enrich the future and strengthen the bonds of a community that seeks its identity.
The creation of the Giants. The origin of the creation of the giants comes from the inhabitants who lived in the district of the mill for Marie and those of the district of courghain for Jean.
