After the dark years of World War II, the Glorious Thirty see life again in colour. It’s a period of economic and social boom. You go on holiday by the sea in a campsite or a hotel residence. At Le Touquet, the psychedelic wave inspires tanned skins and flashy outfits that are displayed around the beach pool. We walk in Red Bug in front of the new buildings of the waterfront before a game of minigolf with the family. This exhibition presents photographs of this joyful and colourful period, a memory not so distant but sometimes tinged with nostalgia.
