"Les Croqueurs de Pommes" is a national association of amateur volunteers working to save the endangered regional fruit varieties. Since the association was founded in 1978, tens of thousands of old trees have been rehabilitated, young plants have been planted and transplanted from previously endangered varieties. The Abbey of Saint-Riquier has therefore teamed up with these enthusiasts to preserve and enhance its historic orchard. During the European Heritage Days, volunteers will be present to present the characteristics of fruit trees and the different methods to preserve them.
