Follow in the footsteps of the famous Beatus Rhenanus with the precious testimony left by his library inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World register.

Installed(Settled) since 1889 in the old(former) corn exchange of Sélestat, the Humanist Library(Bookcase) has its doors réouvert in June, 2018 after a closure(lock) of four years for restructuring, realised by the architect Rudy Ricciotti. This library(bookcase) possesses fund(collection) mattering from medieval manuscripts and from printed documents of XVTH - XVITH centuries. The main part of these works result(come) from the parish library(bookcase) and from the personal library(bookcase) of the Alsatian humanist Beatus Rhenanus (1485-1547), registered on the Register "Mémoire du Monde " of the UNESCO.
