Gare de Strasbourg SNCF
20 place de la Gare, 67000 Strasbourg
Prestigious building built in 1878 by E. Jacobsthal in the Romanesque Revival style, the train station consists of the variegated sandstone passenger building of the Vosges and a metal hall with two arches housing the quays. On Pier 1, the Emperor’s apartments (lounges, fireplace, furniture, clock) bear witness to this rich past. New in 2011: visits to the eagle courtyard and the main staircase of the SNCF management.
