Guided tour and concert in a church with stained glass windows representing the entrance to heaven of Joan of Arc

The church opens its doors, come and enjoy an organ concert and let yourself be guided through the church and its crypt.

Discover the church in complete freedom from 11:30 to 17:00.
At 3pm there will be a guided tour of the building, at 3.30pm an organ concert will be offered and at 4pm you will be invited to visit the crypt of the church, accompanied by a guide.

In 1930, as a result of the demographic surge, the Secretary of Monsignor Pelt, Bishop of Metz, asked to put together a file for the creation of a new parish in Montigny-lès-Metz. Abbé Pierre Leroy decided to name the future church Sainte Jeanne d'Arc.
Then began a period rich in events, and especially in complications: started in the interwar period, the work of the church was quickly stopped. At the time of the intensification of the bombing, around 1944, the basement was opened and served as an anti-aircraft shelter.
At the end of the war, work resumed and was not completed until 1960, 30 years after the first steps and exactly 25 years after the inauguration of the Sainte-Bernadette chapel. 1962 was the year of the installation of the stained glass windows, of which the large canopy represents on 30 square meters the entrance to the sky of Joan of Arc.
