Discover a convent founded in 1843 and enjoy a concert of the Sobra men’s choir.

Discover an amazing place in the city center: a cloister and a convent, with its rich history since 1843 with Brother Henri-Dominique Lacordaire. It is the first Dominican convent after the French Revolution. Ten «Brother Preachers» occupy it and transmit this heritage.
On Sunday at 5 pm, the Sobra men’s choir will give a free concert in the church.

It is in Nancy, in 1843, that the father Henri-Dominique Lacordaire restores in France the Order of the brothers preachers. The brothers installed(settled) in an interim chapel since their arrival decide, in 1861, with the agreement of the father Lacordaire to build a conventual church in neogothic style. Besides the church, the site also includes a cloister and a garden.
