Le Saint-Mont, 88120 Saint Amé
The old(former) mount Habend, named(appointed) then the Saint mount, overhangs the city of Remiremont and extends over the municipalities of Saint-Amé and Saint-Etienne-lès-Remiremont. The summit was always a place of worship. It is in this place that saint Amé and saint Romary melt a colombaniste female monastery towards 620\. He understands two basilicas then, Saint-Peter and Saint - Marie and a cell(unit) to welcome the lepers. The monastery, in by translatant in 818 in the valley gives its name in Remiremont. The busy site by irregularity and by different orders from the XIth century, will undergo fires and will always be rebuilt until the revolutionary times(weathers) when the priory will be deleted(eliminated) then arrasé in 1819\. A chapel is built in 1852, dedicated in 1901, taking up with the religious tradition of the Saint mount.
