The priory of Varangéville was based(established) in the VIIIth century by the monks of Gorze. Historic space including(comprising) the Romance tower of the priory (XIth century), the church Saint-Gorgon of XVTH - XVITH centuries, gardens, of wells and the cemetery of the "embedded". The church Saint-Gorgon, of late Gothic style, is a church-hall(-market), shoulders are at the same height as the nave, there is not transept. If facades appear severe, the inside reveals a purity of architecture and of elegance. The date of 1528 is registered on one of the keys of vault. The furniture and the sculptor are particularly rich. On the north wall of the church, in the cemetery serving in the past in both localities Varangéville and St Nicholas' Day of Port(Bearing), registrations(inscriptions) indicate deposit(warehouse) ossuary of the deceaseds removed from the too cramped cemetery. They(These) are the "embedded".
