Ein Team von Archäologen des Inrap hat 2021 eine archäologische Studie durchgeführt, die einem Sanierungsprojekt des Schlosses von Cons-la-Grandville und des angrenzenden Friedhofs vorausgeht. Wichtige archäologische Funde wurden in dieser Woche vor Ort gemacht. Archäologen haben die Datierung des romanischen Turms präzisiert, die ursprünglichen Dekorationen und ein bemerkenswertes architektonisches Erbe des zwölften und dreizehnten Jahrhunderts aufgedeckt.
Parallel dazu enthüllte eine Erkundung des Friedhofs ein unerwartetes Begräbnis im Zusammenhang mit der napoleonischen Geschichte.
Jean-Denis Laffite, Archäologe im Inrap, wird am Sonntag, den 18. September, von 14 bis 18 Uhr durchgehend Führungen durch das Schloss und den Friedhof bieten.

A team of Inrap archaeologists carried out an archaeological study in 2021 ahead of a project to redevelop the Château de Cons-la-Grandville and the adjoining cemetery. Important archaeological discoveries were made on the site during this week of intervention. Archaeologists have pointed out the dating of the Romanesque tower, uncovered original decorations and a remarkable architectural heritage of the 12th and 13th centuries.
In parallel, an exploration in the cemetery revealed an unexpected burial related to Napoleonic history.
Jean-Denis Laffite, archaeologist at Inrap, will provide guided tours of the castle and the cemetery on Sunday 18 September from 2pm to 6pm, continuously.

Un team di archeologi dell'Inrap ha condotto uno studio archeologico nel 2021 a monte di un progetto di riqualificazione del castello di Cons-la-Grandville e del cimitero adiacente. Importanti reperti archeologici sono stati realizzati sul sito durante questa settimana di intervento. Gli archeologi hanno precisato la datazione della torre romanica, alla luce delle decorazioni originali e un notevole patrimonio architettonico del XII e XIII secolo.
Parallelamente, un'esplorazione nel cimitero ha rivelato una sepoltura inattesa legata alla storia napoleonica.

Une équipe d'archéologues de l'Inrap a réalisé une étude archéologique en 2021 en amont d'un projet de réaménagement du château de Cons-la-Grandville et du cimetière attenant. Des découvertes archéologiques importantes ont été faites sur le site durant cette semaine d'intervention. Les archéologues ont précisé la datation de la tour romane, mis au jour des décorations d'origine et un patrimoine architectural remarquable des XIIe et XIIIe siècles.
En parallèle, une exploration dans le cimetière a révélé une sépulture inattendue en lien avec l'histoire napoléonienne.
