Discover an emblematic mansion of the eighteenth century, now the common home of the citizens of Strasbourg.

The City Hall opens its doors to you in a free area on Saturday morning or through a passionant guided tour and multiple animations.
And don’t forget our special children’s morning on Sunday morning, which will delight young and old.
Friday 16 September afternoon is reserved for school groups. On Saturday 17 September from 10am to 12pm the visits are free. On Saturday 17 September afternoon and Sunday 18 September afternoon, the tours are animated, guided and by registration only. On Sunday 18 September morning, visits are also subject to registration and are reserved primarily for families with children.

The Town hall is a place of prestige at the heart of Strasbourg. Become town hall in 1806, the old(former) comtale residence of Hanau-Lichtenberg kept(preserved) elements of its internal decoration(set) of origin. It is the privileged place of local representation today. The last count of Hanau-Lichtenberg, Régnier III, makes replace an old(former) hotel with a more fashionable residence between 1731 and 1736, under the direction of Joseph Massol, the architect of the bishop's palace and of the Big(Great) Chapter. After revolutionary period, the town hall becomes established in these walls, from 1806 to our days. Of style Regency, the hotel located between court(yard) and walk of Broglie adopts(accepts) an iron traditional plan on horseback(by horse), accessible(approachable) street Was burnt by a monumental entrance(entry) of cup-shaped plan sculpted of trophies with mythological, military or cynegetic themes.
