Château de Mardigny
6 rue du Château, 57420 Lorry-Mardigny
Originates, it was about a fortified town with closed court(yard). The fortification was flanked(thrown) of 4 tours(towers, ballots): the big south tower, destroyed in the course of a seat(siege), two round towers and the tower entry porch which was endowed with a drawbridge. The set(group) was protected by wide ditches(gaps). In the middle of the 18th century, the new owners, finding the too severe fortress, made it shave, while preserving tours(towers, ballots) and staves(moats), and made build this beautiful visible(obvious) French-style house today.
