Chapelle du vieux Saint-Amé

The Chapel Saint-Amé testifies the place where lived in hermit Amé of Remiremont or saint Amé (born towards 560 in Grenoble and died towards 627 in Remiremont) evangelist and founder of the female monastery of Remiremont, the Mount of Habend called later the saint Mont. The chapel is built on the location of the cave of the hermitage of the holy abbot, a pilgrimage became established there and the party(holiday) of saint Amé is celebrated there on every September 13th.
