Installed(Settled) at the ground floor of the Palace Rohan, old(former) residence of the princes-bishops raised(brought up) at the foot of the cathedral from 1732 till 1742 according to the plans of Robert de Cotte, First architect of the King, this museum includes two sections: the sumptuous apartments of the King and of the cardinals of Rohan on one hand and the collections of decorative arts of Strasbourg covering the period going of 1681 in the middle of the 19th s. on the other hand (ceramic Hannong and silver of international fame, furniture, painting(paint), sculpture, watchmaking and ironworks). The museum also presents the mechanical toys of donation Tomi Ungerer.
