A rich panorama to discover the canons of Épinal.

From the thirteenth century until the French Revolution, the canons of Épinal marked the life of the city by their presence and their charitable actions.
Today, the chapter district and its beautiful 18th century mansions are the architectural markers of this history. While browsing the shelves of the bmi, other testimonies of paper are offered to readers: line trees, manuscripts or printed books that belonged to these ladies of high birth.
On the occasion of the restoration of some of these exceptional documents, the bmi proposes an exhibition to (re)discover the history of these Demoiselles d'Épinal and their imprint on the city.
