The museum presents, in an industrial building, the long and astonishing history of iron work, from the last centuries of the Middle Ages to today. Housed in an emblematic industrial building, facing the famous rocks of the Four Sons Aymon, the Museum of the Ardennes Metallurgy offers a lively and original presentation of the various activities that have made the strength and reputation of this metallurgy transformation, through films, audiovisual animations, an abundant commented iconography, interactive models, an audioguide and a sensory journey.
Machines, tools and manufactured products allow you to fully immerse yourself in shops, factories and workshops, and imagine men, women and children at work. The life of the workers is restored with warmth, also evoking bosses with modest origins who succeeded, as well as paternalism, unionism, social struggles and the implantation of socialism thanks to the communard Jean-Baptiste Clément.
