As a family, come and put yourself to the test and discover the theatre in a fun way!

Known for being a high place of the Alsatian language, the Théâtre de la Choucrouterie offers a free course, for young and old. Enter the courtyard and follow the signs: they will tell you a story by giving you a tour of the place, and will teach children and parents some notions of Alsatian.
Free and free, come when you want, visit at your own pace and in complete autonomy.

The Théâtre de la Choucrouterie wanted to be a laboratory and a nursery. “If we don’t plant our own salads, we’ll have to import them” remains the motto of its director Roger Siffer. Springboards in «katapults», creations of burlesque characters in historical portraits, traditions in research theatres, satirical cabarets in musical dramatizations, folklores in contemporary dialectal writings, in all languages spoken here, The Sauerkraut artists explored and began to build everything that was possible and even more.
Historically, a real sauerkraut factory occupied this place with its courtyard before being transformed into a cabaret.
With its 2 small concert halls (71 and 98 seats), the Chouc' as people who love it call it, however, attracts more than 10,000 spectators per year. And this with an average of more than 300 performances per year.
