Let yourself be guided by Martial Boutantin and discover the geological and heritage history of the city.

If the first mention of Colmar dates back to 823, the materials that constitute it are much, much older and still present.
A new discovery of geology in the city. For all.
Martial Boutantin is Vice-President of the Natural History and Ethnography Society of Colmar and responsible for the geological collections of the museum. Our museum presents, among other things, rich collections of rocks, fossils and minerals.
Duration: about 3 hours.

Located at the heart of the old city in a beautiful historic building(ship), the natural history museum and of Ethnography, become «Museum of France» in 2003, presents in about ten rooms on two floors, very rich and amazing collections. So mammial, reptiles, birds, insects of the region are next(go alongside) to beautiful exotic sorts(species) of Africa, of America.. You will plunge into the world fascinating fishes, discover the geology of the region and of the planet with minerals, rocks and fossils. You will be able also to admire the vestiges of past and the world of Egypt.
