The Museum-hotel bears the name Nicolas Le Vergeur, middle-class person of the XVIth century when they think enriched thanks to the gabelle removed from the attic from salt of Cormicy. Compound(Made up) of two bodies of buildings(ships), one of the XIIIth century and other one of the XVIth centuries, he(it) passed in the hands of different owners among which the Clicquot-Ponsardin family or the Belleau family. He(It) is acquired in 1910 by the Reims sponsor Hugues Krafft (1853-1935), founder of the Company(Society) of the friends du old men Reims who, after the World War I, makes it re-emerge debris then dedicates the ground floor to the museum of Old Reims.
