Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the end of 2 years of construction, the Espace Aimé Césaire has opened its doors. Grafted to the Jean-Baptiste Clément Hall, listed in Frédéric Brigidi Park, this 300-seat multi-purpose room welcomed a large audience on the occasion of its inauguration.
Reminder of “who was Aimé Césaire?”: French writer and politician, president of the Regional Council of Martinique, General Councillor of Fort-de-France, poet, playwright, and founder of the literary movement of negritude, disappeared in 2008.
