Come and discover an exhibition showing how, during the period 1950-1960, the city of Metz evolved.

The exhibition «Metz years 50-60» is based on the doctoral thesis «Architecture et Urbanisme à Metz» by Pierre Maurer. It aims to demonstrate how, during the period 1947-1970, the city of Metz was transformed, On the one hand, the fight against unsanitary housing and urban renewal, which lead to a renewal in the heart of the city, and on the other hand, an extension on the periphery marked by the policy of large estates. This double movement and its challenges, essential to understand these years of growth, will be made understandable by this exhibition.
