Discover or rediscover the history of three great military figures.

In the 1930s, three illustrious soldiers met in Metz: Colonel de Gaulle, commander of the 507th tank regiment, Colonel de Lattre de Tassigny, at the head of the famous «15-1», and General Giraud, governor of Metz.
Through a three-part exhibition on the careers and achievements of these three great war chiefs, discover the sometimes complex relationships between these men and the exceptional qualities they shared.

The palace of the Governor, conscript in the past General-Kommando, is a residence built in Metz, between 1902 and 1905, to serve as pied-a-terre to the emperor Guillaume II. It is located small public garden Giraud in the southwest of the district of Metz-Centre, but rest historically bound(connected) to the imperial district further east. The Palace is registered on the additional inventory of historic monuments since 1975.
