The City(Estate) of Image groups(includes) the famous Imaging of Epinal, premises(places) of the old(former) Imaging Pellerin, and the Museum of Image. The building(ship) of the Museum of the Image, in contemporary, very glassy architecture, was inaugurated in 2003\. He(It) frames(supervises) the buildings(ships) of Imaging. A creation of the artist Cyril Dominger illustrates the facade of the Museum mixing(involving) with time idealised images and images of others centres print-sellers of France. The Museum of Image shelters one of the most important collections of popular images printed for the 18th century in France (Épinal, Orléans, Chartres, Paris) and abroad (Germany, India or Japan). All in all, and since the purchase of 85 000 images of the collection Henry George in 2010, the museum gathers(combines) more than 110 000 images. The site proposes more than 700 m ² of spaces of exhibition(exposure): four exhibition halls, a space child. They find there also a Documentation Centre the fund(collection) of which concentrates as well on popular imaging as on art, without forgetting the numerous themes tackled(approached) on images (religion, militaria, tales, theatre, etc.), a room devoted to workshops(studios) and an IT park the put in arrangement(disposal) during internships(training courses).
