Maison du cœur historique
29 Rue Carnot, 55300 Saint-Mihiel
House built in the second half of the sixteenth century, of which there remains the tower of stairs half-hors-œuvre in the rear facade. House rebuilt in the eighteenth century, as evidenced by a photograph reproduced in the work of H. Bernard «Saint-Mihiel» (1932) and an engraving of Wlodimir Konarsky, and rebuilt again in 1906 (date carried by the pediment of the earlier facade).
At the same time, the gallery of the sixteenth century with three levels (visible on a postcard of the beginning of the century) located in the extension of the tower of stairs and which originally led to a second body of building (disappeared), is replaced by a neoclassical building body. The openwork railings on the high parts of the staircase tower and gallery were reused in a fountain in the garden. The statuary of the gallery has been reployed in the base of the neoclassical body.
