In 1519, François Ier authorises Lochois to raise(bring up) this town hall. Of Renaissance style, he(it) presents one of the first right(straight) staircases creeps on banister built in this period. Two small windows include the Salamander crowned with François Ier and the coat of arms of Loaches three fleur-de-lis(lily flowers) of which call back(remind) the status of " good city ". This building(ship) shelters the same function(office) for 500 years. Joined with the town hall, the Door Picois is the second of doors of defence of the low city still kept(preserved) at present. Of an aspect more military than the Door of the Cordeliers, it possesses a niche of the internal side Renaissance added at the time of the construction of the Town hall. The original of this statue of the Virgin(Virgo) in the Heart, supposed to protect the door and the travellers who borrow him, is exposed(explained) in the Gallery Saint-Antoine located next to the church of the low city.
