The church of Saint-Martin de Mardié has just been completely renovated. The building dates essentially from the 11th, 12th and 15th centuries and has very interesting architectural features, both on the outside (Romanesque bell tower) and inside. The choir consists of ribbed vaults supported by curious capitals decorated with rare human or animal heads of mysterious significance. Remains of original vegetal-patterned painted decorations were discovered during the work.
In addition, the church has interesting statues from the 16th and 18th centuries.

The church of Saint-Martin de Mardié is one of the most original in the Val to the east of Orléans. Dependent on the Chapter of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, the building has interesting features. The first nave is from the 11th century while the choir is from the 12th century, transition between the Romanesque and the Gothic, with beautiful arches and capitals historiated with curious human or animal figures topped by vegetal baskets (quite rare in the region), as well as beautiful ogive-cross vaults probably dating from the very beginning of "Gothic" architecture. Adorned with a Romanesque bell tower, it features a chapel from the 16th and stained glass windows of the 19th century, depicting the life of Saint Martin, and a carved wooden decoration (work bench).
The interior is being renovated (between two phases of work). The bell tower was restored in 2014, the exterior facades in 2017, as well as the stained glass windows. The interior has been cleaned and is waiting for final c
