This church which the walls of the nave date the XIth century succeeded an oratory dating the VIth century devoted to saint Julien of Brioude. Seat(Siege) of an archiprêtré of the year 800 up to medieval environment(middle), Souesmes benefits from a church in dimensions(size) corresponding to its function(office). The chorus(choir) was rebuilt in 1529 and the wooden bell tower replaced in 1864 by the current bell tower. Important transformations took place at the end of the XIXth century with the construction of two chapels. Statues, stained-glass windows, wooden pulpit sculpted and several rooms(parts,plays) of furniture are of a not insignificant interest.
