The hotel Bodard de la Jacopière, at the foot of the fortress of Chinon, is one of the most important medieval mansions of the city. The frames of the main house are dated from the fourteenth century, the east wing was added in the seventeenth century. Inside, decorations dating back to the eighteenth-nineteenth century are preserved.
