The convent of Cistercian nuns Our Lady of the Angels of St Aignan was founded in 1641\. Abandoned and partially ruined following a fire in 2009, the Priory is the subject of a restoration project supported by the Heritage Foundation. Some buildings, including the Abbesses' Pavilion, have already been rehabilitated and made habitable again.
